What is this all about?

Lower Tancredston Farmhouse is the main 'residence' for the Wade family in Tancredston, Hayscastle, Pembrokeshire. It has been empty for over 2 years and finally a builder has been selected (Mark Roberts) for the entire renovation project. This blog is the story (with photos) of the renovation.

New doors, 2nd fix electrics .......

Yes, I am full of technical terms now!!

The biggest news is that the hot tub has arrived at the local dealer, so we can have it as soon as the room is ready.

The new external doors are in, and they are starting to replace the window glass where needed, ie frosted glass in the new downstairs shower room etc.

The only floor left to lay is in the boiler room.

The electrician and mate have been busy, with sockets/light switches going in, as well as lots of ceiling holes for lights.

We have been busy getting the kitchen order sorted, as well as best prices for appliances and bathroom fittings.  What did we do before the internet?  Well, it would have been simpler I suppose.

The new front door is meant to be arriving today.  It will be briefly fitted, before being taken off again to keep it safe from wheelbarrows etc.  I will try and get a photo of it, but may miss the big event as I am off carriage driving today.

The kitchen - with sockets added (and you can just see
one of the holes for the many spotlights)

New back door - so much lighter

Boiler room - with new door and window

My craft room - nearly ready for me to move into!
