What is this all about?

Lower Tancredston Farmhouse is the main 'residence' for the Wade family in Tancredston, Hayscastle, Pembrokeshire. It has been empty for over 2 years and finally a builder has been selected (Mark Roberts) for the entire renovation project. This blog is the story (with photos) of the renovation.

A random update

The lovely sunshine saw the builders taking their hi-viz coats and hats off yesterday - and it is wonderful to see the house with the windows/doors open.  We chose carpets on Saturday (only for the bedrooms, my craft room and the stairs/landings) - and the man will be coming to measure up soon.  Also, the final arrangements for the kitchen design will be made this week, as we need to order now so that it can be installed within 6 weeks.  The decorator will be starting the mammoth task of painting nearly every surface next week.  We have to choose any feature colours very soon, otherwise it will all be magnolia.  We are getting prices for bathroom fittings, so that will all be ordered soon.  It is all looking more like a home by the day!
An example of how tidy our builder is!!

The new front door (an exact copy of the old one - very clever joiner).
This was only in place for a few minutes yesterday whilst they got the frame installed.
It has been taken down to protect it from wheelbarrows etc.

This was the first item to come into the house.  My sparkly basin for
the guest shower room!!  It will certainly wake up guests in the morning!

  1. Very impressed how tidy your builders are:)

    Loving the sparkly basin.

Sounds like you are going to be very busy with everything coming at once now.

  2. wow! that is different! I have never seen one like that before - looks gorgeous!

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I read and treasure them all.
