What is this all about?

Lower Tancredston Farmhouse is the main 'residence' for the Wade family in Tancredston, Hayscastle, Pembrokeshire. It has been empty for over 2 years and finally a builder has been selected (Mark Roberts) for the entire renovation project. This blog is the story (with photos) of the renovation.

The Beginning

Rich had a fantastic idea today.  Firstly, for me to take photos and keep a record of what is done each day on the farmhouse renovation.  I then thought of keeping a journal - and then this progressed onto starting a blog.  There have been so many people who have expressed interest in keeping tabs on the work being carried out and seeing photos, so this is the best way of doing that - whilst keeping my crafty blog (http://teddybobcrafts.blogspot.co.uk) free of house stuff.

The blog will change as days/weeks/months pass.  I will find different templates for the design or just get bored!  I will try and update it daily, but holidays/health/general life may mean that there will be breaks.

We are starting the blog today, Thursday 10th January 2013, as today the scaffolding is going up on the house, so that the old kitchen chimney can come down.  Photos will follow.  They are still out there, playing the radio loud, and from past experience it is not sensible to start taking photos of scaffolders - they will just start showing off and getting out of hand!!

See you later.

  1. What a lovely house. It will be nice to see the changes.

Hope everything goes smoothly and the weather is kind.

  2. It is a fantastic idea, Ali, and I've just worked my way backwards to here and enjoyed the "journey" to date with you. This is all SO exciting!!

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I read and treasure them all.
