What is this all about?

Lower Tancredston Farmhouse is the main 'residence' for the Wade family in Tancredston, Hayscastle, Pembrokeshire. It has been empty for over 2 years and finally a builder has been selected (Mark Roberts) for the entire renovation project. This blog is the story (with photos) of the renovation.

Scaffolding Galore

More photos to be added (from today - and last year when the sun was shining) when I have a spare moment!  Will also be taking photos of the inside this weekend - be prepared to see a lot of bare walls/floors, but interesting for those who like old houses

Here are some photos of the house taken this morning before the rain started.  The builder is dropping off tools now, and he will be back on Monday with 7 men to take down the chimney and do the roof on the outbuilding.  A lot will be done by the end of the month, and I will try to take lots of photos to show progress.

The old kitchen chimney covered in scaffolding, ready
for removal on Monday.

The back of the house, which is the oldest part.
A close up of the scaffolding!
