What is this all about?

Lower Tancredston Farmhouse is the main 'residence' for the Wade family in Tancredston, Hayscastle, Pembrokeshire. It has been empty for over 2 years and finally a builder has been selected (Mark Roberts) for the entire renovation project. This blog is the story (with photos) of the renovation.

A quick update before another week starts

Sorry, everyone.  I went into the house on Friday morning to discuss what we were doing with the fireplace in the old living room (which will become our dining room), took a couple of photos - and then haven't been in there since.

These are the photos - showing what was the old 'drawing room' (or the posh living room which was rarely used), but with all the walls now removed, that part of the ground floor is just one room!  Also the fireplace we were discussing - which is now looking very different, after lots of stone/bricks removed, to reveal the original.

(Now I cannot get the 2nd photo to insert - will try and rectify tomorrow when I am less tired.)

  1. Ali, I cannot imagine how wonderful this is going to be once the renovations are complete! We love our "great" room. The openness feels wonderful, especially because I'm homebound. I never feel "caged in" or antsy! thanks for the update, hugs, de

  2. Well at least things are moving! Looking forward to the next pics!

  3. You can really see the change.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I read and treasure them all.
